Amanda and Rob are such an amazing couple! We are so honored to have been a part of their fantastic wedding on November 7, 2015! They are incredibly detail oriented and their wedding details certainly reflect this.
We first arrived at the rental house where Rob and his groomsman were getting ready. We somehow got the impression that Rob was already a little nervous… The first words out of his mouth to us were “I’m pretty nervous”. Lol! After grabbing photos of the groomsman we headed over to Black Mountain United Church of Christ in Scottsdale, Arizona to get all the detail shots and Amanda putting on the finishing touches to her amazing dress!
The church had an incredible courtyard with intricate brickwork throughout. The courtyard also featured an amazing bell display immediately behind the ceremony which made an awesome backdrop for Amanda and Rob’s ceremony photos.
We had a very tight timeline for family photos, bridal party photos, and bride and groom photos. Thankfully, Amanda had a broken down list of every family shot she wanted. This way my lovely assist could get the next shot lined up while I was taking a shot of other family members. If you have a really tight timeline to grab all of these shots, I highly recommend you have a list and someone to help organize the next shot.
From there, we raced over to La Hacienda at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess to grab some bride and groom photos right as the sun was setting. Thankfully we found some awesome spots overlooking every desert photographer’s favorite resource… water! After that we regrouped with the guests for some great Mexican food and an awesome live band! Even some of the groomsman couldn’t resist playing some tunes with the live band! There was even a caricature artist there to draw everyone!
Congratulations Amanda & Rob!! We are incredibly happy for you two and wish you many years of happiness to come!
